The autumn/winter term at the Russian School culminated in a fun-filled Christmas & New Year celebration.
The party started with a puppet show presented by the London Puppet Theatre. Everyone's eyes were fixed on lazy Petya and his adventures.
A funny clown entertained the children with balloon tricks and games during the interval. This was while mean Klyaksi (ink stains) were hiding the children's Christmas presents. The presents were finally rescued with the help of Snegurochka (Snowmaiden), the beautiful Christmas Trees and Father Frost.
There were lots of traditional Russian Christmas songs and dances around the Christmas tree, games and puzzles - all adding to the festive atmosphere.
Birmingham Russian School wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Have a brilliant holiday!
