Last Sunday, on 12th June, there was Russia Day celebration at RUBRIC Russan school in Worcester. Children and their parents from British and mixed families had a great
opportunity to get together and to "taste" some Russian customs. They enjoyed
children's folk dance performance, colourful Russian national dresses,
traditional tea from the samovar (Russian teapot) with lots of Russian food such as bleeny (pancakes), pryaneeki (ginger bread buiscuits), baranki etc. Everyone had fun while playing English and Russian indoor games and
singing together the popular Russian songs, including the well-known in Britain "Midnight
in Moscow". Photos
