The highlight of the Spring term at the Russian schools in Birmingham, Nottingham and Worcester was the celebration of 50 years since the first man - Yury Gagarin flew into space. A series of celebrations dedicated to Gagarin and his ground breaking space voyage took place at the school supported by the Russian Russkiy Mir Foundation. For several weeks before the celebrations took place the pupils learnt about Gagrin, space and the Russian history of space exploration, drew space pictures, sang songs, prepared a play called How the sun the the moon fell out etc. More (in Russian)
